April update messing with disk drive

@NIKLICHT91 I WILL BE TRYING THAT TODAY, STUPID UPDATE HAS ME RESTARTING MY BOX AT LEAST ONCE A DAY FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN TO PLAY ANOTHER GAME!!!

 

I'm having the same problem and will try all these options thank y'all I thought my xbox was messed up :0(

 

Off subject anyone having issues when they send there xbox one day one remotes to xbox for replacement and have not got there remote sent back in a timely turn around time they have had my day one remote for 45 days and have not sent my remote back to me
yet with no update on status or time frame any one know if they are backed up cust serv just gives me the run around and I provided them with tracking num and they confirmed it was received on feb 20 and escalated to the advocacy team and no update from them
either pls who can I contact besides cust serv to check on this issue?

 

I'm hoping it's something with the update. Had my system day one and it worked fine till this march update

 

Try leaving the game in there after the console draws it back in wait 30 seconds the disc drive will wake up and the game will reappear then switch your discs. I've done it and it works.

Weird font on "No Friends Online" and in the"settings" menu

Disk drive playing up and Kinect now has selective hearing (like my wife)

 

Hi there all if you have the disc drive try this, try ejecting the disc, when the console draws it back in wait 30 seconds the disc drive will read the current disc, once it does the switch out the disc's.

 

so I got the latest update and its sorted out my disc drive problems with the not reading discs and the disc going back in the console straight away but I now I have an annoying issue witch is

the gamer clips record even tho I haven't got gamer clips turned on to record clips

then when I go and check what has been recorded there are no clips

so it looks like xbox has fixed one issue but now has another issue

does anybody else has this issue

 

is there any solution to the game dvr recording clips even when then game dvr isn't slected to record clips

can anyone hlep

 

I used to have this issue as well, but the new updates sorted it all out

New problem with the drive though: Using "Instant-On", leaves the drive sleeping. Like, you have to press the eject button to wake it up and hear the clunking noise we usually hear on startup.

Anyone else have similar issues? So aggravating haha

 

heyy ab0m1nableRazor I think the update has sorted out my dvr problems but I got the same problem as you now, I go to put a game in, it takes the game into the machine but it doesn't read the game its as if the game is not in there so I have to eject the
game so it sticks out then press eject again so it takes it back in then it reads it fine but with the loud clunking noise that you mentioned.

Has there been any word on an update for this issue

 

@GAW984 Not that I know of, man. Seriously, they need to get on this pronto haha! One new issue I found EXCLUSIVE to energy saving mode (which I think is related to these plethora of blu ray drive power issues etc.) is that on every initial disc insert,
the drive doesnt seem to pick up that there is a disc inside and therefore still shows the "insert disc" tile. When I eject, the disc pops out a little and the drive "wakes up" and eats it again, which then reads it perfectly. Subsequent disc inserts work
without any issues.

Honestly, all of this happened after the update, which makes me believe that it's some sort of coding or a messed up booting process that's causing these issues.

Hopefully, they fix this soon smh

 

heyy ab0m1nableRazor that is my exact issue with the disc drive

when I got my xbox at xmas my console worked perfectly now it jus seems everytime I get a new update I get a new problem, dont get me wrong xbox one is the best console to own & its good that they fix the problem as soon as they can but there really shouldn't
be all of these problems its like 1 thing after another, but I suppose you cant have a brand new console with brand new technology without having a few teething problems along the way

 

@GAW984 Let's hope for that June update to fix any lingering drive issues! Haha!

 

Also, regarding my previous post about the issue being exclusive to Energy-Saving. It also happens on Instant-On.
