April 19th 2015 update

What is the deal with the April 19th update wiping out all of my game data? I know have to reinstall all of my games, which take over an hour to install. Reinstalling my games will be an all day chore. This has to be the worse update. Previous updates have
not done this. Having to reinstall all of my games and apps really ticks me off and is something that I should not have to do after an update. Did anyone else have this issue?

The April update destroyed my Xbox One and Microsoft wants $115 to fix it.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem yet...?

On Saturday I bought Forza Horizon 2 and put my Xbox online for the first time in ages.

It prompted me to download the update. After doing so it stood stuck on the "applying update" screen for over an hour. So I went to work and left the system running. When I got home and turned it on, the system was stuck on the green loading screen.

Sunday morning I googled Everything in the world and figured out the steps for USB diagnosistic tool.

I tried them all perfectly and they all stopped on the same spot: the "Applying Update" screen.

So I decided to just factory reset the whole system. Guess what? That doesn't work either.

Called customer service and they told me it was faulty hardware. But its not. It was the update.

On Friday night alone I played Devil May Cry and Mortal Kombat X all night perfectly.

On Saturday afternoon I played Forza for two whole hours with absolutely no problems until I tried to go online to buy a car pack and was prompted to update.

This is crap. With everything I've been reading online, it really does seem like Microsoft is extorting us.

And is anyone even monitoring these forums. It seems like they just press a button and give everyone the same response ( Mr. Quimby ) just like customer service reads off the script. Everytime i call, someone new tells me the EXACT same line: " I understand
how you are feeling. I too feel frustrated when this happens. Lets see what we can do to help:... you know what would help? stop repeating the same lines. Let me speak to someone in charge who knows what they are talking about. Because as much as anyone wants
me to believe that i broke my own Xbox One, i didn't. All i did was apply a mandatory update that i was forced to download. This isn't good business, and i wholeheartedly wish i would have purchased a Playstation 4 when i had the chance.

Is there anyone real we can talk to?

Maybe a number we can call to talk to a real person?
