April 1, 2014 Update Corrupted my profile, saves and more!

I just had the latest update (as of 04/01/2014) to my 360 console and after it rebooted I wasn't logged in. I went to Storage and found all the files in my consoles memory had been corrupted! I shut down my console and now all none system files are gone.
Luckily, I don't keep anything important on the system drive, but I shudder to think what mess I'd be in if I had! I am posting this not for help, but as a warning to everyone and a heads up to Microsoft. If this just didn't happen to me, some support people
are in for a very long and unpleasant day.

Xbox 360 Update 23/2/12

The update corrupted my gamer profile. I deleted the profile and re-downloaded it from live - now none of my save games are accessible. It says they are from an unknown profile. There goes my Skyrim, Battlefield, and Arkham City progress.

Received confirmed. NZ time Wednesday 16 April 2014 11:39 pm. Does anyone know what this update does to Xbox 1?

 

I have the same problem, I spoke to Microsoft rep., he was very helpful and he suggested few things I tried with no avail. So he told me to wait 24 hours, I doubt anything will change after those 24 hours but it's not like there is anything else I can do.
Unfortunately unlike you I have (had) all my saves in my console memory. So basically I'm ***, thanks Microsoft.

 

Is there a page that lists what each update includes?

 

I don't think so, I only found two tweets from Major Nelson: "An #Xbox360 update hits as early as tomorrow, mostly back end stuff. Start an #XboxVideo rental on Xbox 360 & pick it up on another platform. That's one of the only new features."

 

I believe they only provide change long on big updates, those that usually change user interface as well.

Same here save games , profiles gone.

When I shut down the 4gb memory unformats so when I switch on

, nada. Any ideas ?

 

Since the update when i try to load any of my skyrim saves it freezes does this mean i am gonna have to start all over? If I use cloud save next time will this be prevented? Needless to say i am pretty ticked off right now...i'm guessing this isnt something
that they can fix with a patch of some sort??

 

Same problem as the rest of you, its like I unpacked a brand new 360 with this update, not a game save or profile to be found. It even corrupted my external flash drive. :'(

 

Yeah I have the same problem, but found out about it just now. My GTA V save games are partially lost. Only the ones from 2013/12 and earlier are available.. I really hope there is an solution, other than play half of the singe player again..

 

Just wanted to post latest update, I just spoke with another representative and he admitted that the data are gone. He wrote this: "If your Internal Hard Drive and not your External Hard Drive that's installed inside the console has the issue, it means that
we can't do anything to recover your saved games. But since your games is still on your account you can download it again on the console and play the game again. And I strongly suggest that you use a Standard Microsoft Hard drive for the storage for your games,
saved games and any other items. I do apologize for the inconvenience, I have tried to do my best and to pull all the options in my end. But you will need to play the games again, we can't recover the saved games for you. If we can do it, we already done it
on your first contact to us."
