April 01 system update issue

Discus and support April 01 system update issue in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have found a workaround possibly to our problem.     Update on my issue ... after more than 2 weeks (calling xbox support, waiting for escalation team to get back to me etc) The escalation guy has so far sent me 2 emails saying that they're sorry this has happened, he has personally had issues with his xbox360
    before so he understands my frustrations bla bla .... bottom line is they refuse to get me a one to one exchange simply because my console is no longer under warranty (it probably is over warranty by just a couple of months, this is my 2nd xbox360 after the
    1st one RROD-ed on me). They expect me to pay for the repairs and he mentioned he will try to compensate me and will discuss that after I have sent it for repairs etc. This is unacceptable, my console was working perfect prior to this update and I have to
    pay for something they *** up???

    Im having the same problem. My xbox is 1.5yrs old and these *** are saying that its a problem with the system.... NO ITS NOT, THE PROBLEMS CAME WITH AND IS CAUSED BY THIS UPDATE. Its not our fault that the system couldnt process it correctly. They need to
    accept responsibility for this and make right. And no response from anyone MS related in this thread already has me leary....

    That update caused several problems to me too. Yesterday i played for 3 hours and it freezed like 5 times. I have 4gb slim version with 320gb additional hard disk, and everything on my 4gb has been deleted. profiles, savegames,everything. and my console
    keep freezing. what the hell??

    I also have a bad system after applying this update. I called yesterday and was handed off 3 times (supposedly teir 3 support) and was told I had to pay for a repair when my xbox was working find before the update. After the update my xbox does not load
    the dashboard and just freezes after the splash animation. This is unacceptable. I do not receive any error codes so my hardware is fine it is the update that has caused this failure.
