    Hi, I have only just signed up to xbox live using a code I bought for a trial of Gold.

    Are the youtube, netflix, bbc iplayer apps only accessible if you have paid live membership? Or can I still watch these when my trial ends?

    When I go to download the apps to watch TV, it says 'you will be charged immediately'..I thought they were free? I thought I'd try and clicked on OK for the iPlayer and it did download. I can't see how it would charge me as I haven't loaded any payment details.

    Hope someone can help, before I download Netflix, etc.

    If you paid by credit card, you will be charged closer to release. That's part of the new store. You're only charged immediately if you pay with your Microsoft account balance.

    Be careful when ordering these controllers, though it says you won't be charged until the order is ready. This is not true. You will be charged immediately.

    They are free, its just that you have to buy them so you can download them, believe me its free, and no your dont need a XBL gold membership.

    Tried it through the browser on my XB1, as well as through the Smartglass app, and both are showing it as $14.99 and that "you will be charged immediately" if you continue.

    The first charge is a validation chargrd it gets refunded immediately after you pass

    Only way to get charged immediately is whe. You use ms accoumt balance

    Unless you bought the battlenet pc version then console.policies don't apply

    You'll be charged immediately for the Ultimate. Then you won't be charged again until whenever your subscription is set to renew.
