    Apps won't work.


    Hi, got an issue thats driving me mad so any help

    would be much appreciated. Basically in my home is 3x Xbox One S, all have been connected to Virgin Media and all work fine. I've now moved across to Sky Broadband (athough Virgin is still active). I connected each console to the Sky Broadband and run a
    test which comes back as connected however no apps will load and it just says there's an error but with no error code. After trying a hard reset, unistalling and reinstalling the apps, restarting the apps etc i disconnected the Sky Broadband and plugged the
    Virgin Broadband back in, reconnected all of the Xbox's to it and the apps work perfectly again.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Tv apps won't work

    so I just bought a new Xbox one, downloaded iPlayer, itv player and sky go, but none of them will work! I've tried uninstalling and redownloading them and restarting my Xbox but they either won't play any programmes or when open just go straight back to
    the home screen! Anyone know how I can fix it?

    Hey there, Alice1408!

    I'm sorry to see any app issues! Sounds like you might be in the UK based on the apps you've got. If that's the case, you will need to make sure your

    console's locale
    is set to your region. These apps can have issues if they are trying to be used on a console that has a mismatched region.

    If your console is set to the UK, you'll want to make sure that your internet connection is good. These apps can take a lot of resources on the console, including some bandwidth requirements to stream TV shows. I would suggest following the steps in our

    streaming troubleshooter
    to see if that helps you out.

    If you're still having issues after that, I would have you try the console at a different internet connection, just to completely rule out any network issues. Lastly, a

    factory reset
    may be in order.

    Apps won't work.

    Hello Dan,

    It could be the router settings in the Sky router. You would have to go into it and see what going on. IF at all possible could log into both routers and compare settings, but might be difficult if they totally different routers. When you switch again go
    to settings>network>network settings>adv. settings> alt mac address>clear and restart.

    Hi, give this a shot. On each of the Xbox's go to settings/ network/ network settings/ advanced settings/ alternate MAC address, select Clear and then select Restart.

    That should clear out any old network info that may be causing issues and hopefully get things working.

    Hello Dan,

    Then its something to do with the router. Get with your Internet service provider and see if they can help you troubleshoot the settings in the router.

    Cheers Brad, i'll give that a go. One thing I forgot to mention though (and not sure if it makes a difference or not) but when the Xbox is connected to the sky broadband, my phone is also connected and works fine.
