    Apps won’t update.


    My games will download and update just fine, but whenever I try to update anything in the Apps section, it freezes up the entire “My games & apps” menu. Everything else works fine, but I have to soft restart the console to access the menu again.

    Hey there,

    Thank you for reaching out to the Xbox Forums. Could you try to unplug your console from a wall plug and wait 30 seconds before plugging it in. After that start your console.

    Could you notify if that helped the issue?

    I’ve checked all of that, the thing is, if I delete the app and redownload it, it downloads fine, but if it tries to update, I experience the problem.

    I’ve already tried that, as well as updating the system, unplugging and replugging my external storage, and checking my internet connection.

    Could you please check the following for me?

    • Make sure that you are signed in to the Microsoft account that purchased the content.


    • Make sure that you have the latest update for both your
      console       and your content.

    They won’t ever fix this , it’s been like this for months. They only update that app every few yr. it’s junk
