Apps will be free from gold this june.

I just got an email stating That apps will be free from gold and xbox one will get games for gold this year also along with Xbox live gold deals.

can we please move the saves from the cloud to the console

Yes, if the internet is down you can play offline and resume from where you left off. Offline gaming is not restricted. Apart from multiplayer obviously. Once the internet connection is back the cloud saves will sync up with the console updating game progress.

Of course the console can be used without gold. From 9th June all apps will be accessible without gold, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Gold will be required for multiplayer, plus Games for gold (2 free games a month) and VIP access to big game discounts 50% to 75%
off per month.

 

xbox why do you want me to switch to playstation??

Actually, you've always needed a gold subscription in order to use those apps on the Xbox. However, they just announced earlier this month that you not longer need a gold subscription to use the apps starting in June.

 

You will still need to subscribe to those that require extra subs,netflix for example.

Its just the gold paywall thats been removed.

The first part of this sentence is a straight up lie, unless they decide to let silver members play online Dx

 

This is great, because I like to watch YouTube often. My subscription to XBL ends tomorrow actually, so if I can watch YouTube, I'll be happy.
