    Apps not working since 8/4 update


    Since the latest Xbox update (insider program) on 8/4, my apps will either not run or they close shortly after starting up.

    -YouTube (closes after launching video)

    -Netflix (closes after launching video)

    -Blu-Ray player (wether on or offline, immediate error message, 'Please try another disc. We can't play this one [0x91d70001])

    -Movie & TV (video but no sound)

    -Fortnite (closes when online game innitiates)

    I have tried the hard reset and the uninstall/reinstall with the Blu-Ray player with no success.

    Message notifications not working

    Message notifications not working on PC or iOS apps. iOS app message notification's sound haven't been working since the past 3-5 updates now.

    Already uninstalled via powershell (admin mode), restart, redownload, restart, launch, still not working.

    Xbox One - TV from Sky App Not Working

    I've been having the same issue since the update. All other apps and games are working.

    Hey ABE,

    Since this is from an Insider Preview, I'm afraid this may be an inherent issue with the build and you'll have to send feedback through the Feedback Hub in order to let Microsoft and other Insiders like yourself know about this issue.

    Hit Windows key + F to open the Feedback Hub and let them know all about it.

    i can't install nba 2k15

    update: got beyond the 4%!

    steps:

    1. boot the xbox one with internet connected

    2. remove the bluray app

    3. install the bluray app

    4. insert nba 2k15 disc

    5. xbox one says there are updates available for nba2k15. accept these updates

    6. install nba 2k15, it will error on 4%.

    7. remove nba 2k15 completely

    8. install nba 2k15, it probably will use the updates / download from internet instead using the disc.

    9. wait an aeon since it's only on 6% (half an hour).

    don't know if this is going to work for complete installation but, i'm at 7% now.

    FH5 crashes on launch with the error code 0x800701b1

    1. reset the App FH5 and xbox

    2. repair FH5 over the xbox app

    4. re-install FH 5 over the xbox app

    5. checked Windows Updates, all the latest updates are installed.

    6. uninstalled XBOX Gaming Service and reinstall, didnt help

    7. Windows Store checked updates

    8. reinstalled xbox app.

    8 re installed Forza Horizon 5

    nothing helped.

    Still Error Code 0x800701b1

    Xbox Console Companion App won't stream Xbox to PC

    It's not incorrect

    Like the rest of Windows 8 apps, it has been discontinued since the beginning of the year and not updated to current protocols

    It is attempting to communicate and failing.

    The Xbox App been the one you're supposed to use since 2015 on Windows 10
