    Apps not starting on XBOX today.


    Hi

    So just turned on my XBOX 1 hoping for a game of PUBG and it wont start, gives me an error code of 0x97e10804 and tells me to try again or report to xbox/com help if it persists, which it does.

    So I report the error code ... and it comes back with 'Code not recognised', neither is there any search result on google for this code!

    Helpfully it suggests I download XBOX Insider app and try that. So I download the app and guess what? ... it wont open ... same error code!!!

    I mean seriously .... not only incredibly irritating, but makes a mockery of the 'error code system' and the help.

    What is going on? Anyone got any answers?

    Seriously pee'd off!

    For the record, I could join a part and see and talk to others playing the same game.

    ahhh ... the IT Support generic 'turn it off an on again' ... well ... to be fair you did include the additional complete power cycle steps and it did work!

    Odd that so many others are having this today? Very odd. Whats the explanation?

    this seems to be a common error today.

    some people have found that having an app or game downloading in the background has enabled them to play games but it isn't a guaranteed fix.

    try the power cycle as well.

    hopefully a combination of these will fix it for you

    probably a server somewhere needing a power cycle, but as it happened Sunday night into Monday morning, there probably isn't anyone in the IT office to hold the power button for 10 seconds
