APPS AND GAMES WON'T OPEN!!!

Hi, I've been having this problem since a little after launch. Sometimes my Xbox ONE games crashes before it launches. Ill click on killer instinct and it'll show the title across the screen and crash back to the home screen. The same thing happens with
demos too. And it's all of them ill go from game to game and they just won't work. It's happening a lot more since I've updated. If I turn on my Xbox and watch TV for a bit and then try to launch a game it won't work, if i leave the instant on feature active
the games won't work after I wake the Xbox from standby mode, Some times the TV app wont launch if i leave "instant on" active for a few days. That really sucks because I really liked using the "XBOX ON" command now I have to completely shut it down and wait
the few minutes it takes for it to boot up every time, not fun. The only solutions I've found was to either click on the app or game several times until it finally launches and if that doesn't work a hard reset. I usually have to hard reset and since it take
Xbox One so long to turn on its becoming a very annoying glitch and I'm upset the update made it worse. is anyone else having the same problem I'm having? I'm also calling support they need to make this fix a high priority, its ruining the experience.

Games & Apps won't open

Hi so my xbox one has been having trouble turning on. It takes about 10-15 minutes to start and even then the dashboard isn't completely loaded in. The system will not let me make any actions with the controller but instead after an additional 5-10 minutes
it attempts to open the Games & Apps application and ultimately fails. when I try to show help, the help app also fails to open, and then I get a frozen black screen. This has been going on for at least 2 weeks now.

game apps crashingd

MINESWEEP just plain won't open. 3 days now... worked fine now doesn't. solitaire and majong working like normal. always play daily challenge. didn't do anything different, just won't open anymore. click on icon, starts to load, goes straight back to app
screen.

Instead of doing a hard reset, go to the home screen, highlight the app/game, click the view button (the new start button), quit the game/app, and then restart it. This solves the problem most of the time without having to do a hard reset.

The problem will hopefully be resolved in future updates, but for now, the select, view, quit method is several times quicker than a hard reset.

When you state you hard reset the console, are you choosing the shut down command and unplugging the console? if so I imagine it causes a temporary fix.

I would recommend, while the console is turned on, holding the Xbox symbol/power button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds and release the button. This will cause the console to shut down and clear the temporary memory on the Xbox One. Afterwards
turn the console back on using the same button but do not hold it this time. The system should eventually load to the main home screen.

If the problem is the same as the one I ran into the problem should be fix.

Let's do some testing procedures.

Do you have antivirus, vpn or firewall? If so, disable them and test.

Also check this process.

Tell me what appears in this test please. Download the companion xbox console app > settings > network > NAT type

Perform these 2 procedures below and try to open the games

Firstly, start the Settings app using Win+I hotkey and go to Apps > Apps & features.

Now, from the installed apps, locate Gaming Service and tap on the three-dot menu button present next to it.

Next, click on Advanced options and then scroll down to the Reset section on the next page.

After that, click on the Reset button and confirm the process.

Similarly, you can reset the App installer app.

Finally, reboot your PC and see if the error is fixed now.

2] Reinstall the Microsoft Gaming Services

If resetting the Gaming Services doesn’t help, you should try reinstalling the Microsoft Gaming Services app to fix the error. This should fix any underlying corruption that is causing the error. You can follow the below steps to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Gaming Services:

First, press Win+X hotey and select Windows Terminal (Admin).

Now, enter the below command to remove the entire Microsoft Gaming Services infrastructure:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

Next, let the command complete and once the uninstallation is complete, reinstall the package back using the below command:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

When the package is installed back, restart your system and see if the error is resolved.

Please try the steps one at a time to resolve the issue.

Solution 1: Repair the Gaming Services app and Xbox app.

Please go to Settings > Apps > Apps Features. Select Gaming Services, then click Advanced options. Click the repair button, do the same steps for the Xbox app, try launching the game again using the Xbox app, and see if it works.

Solution 2: Uninstall and reinstall the Gaming Services App

Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

Restart your device and try to launch the game again and see if it works.

Solution 3:

Please open the PowerShell in admin mode and paste the following below:

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

These steps can help you, give it a try.

Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates.

1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this for the game too.

3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

4. Open the Microsoft Store app, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner>downloads updates>get updates and update everything.

5. Restart your PC, log in to both apps and see if that solves the problem.

Hey, I have already tried what you have told me, unfortunately it has not worked for me, and I have already solved it. I will put what he has done to solve my game:

I uninstalled the xbox app, then installed it again, and repaired the files from the xbox app. With that done, the game worked perfectly, but only by opening it from the xbox app.
