    This one seems to be a doozy. Ok...

    System is no longer recognizing accounts Subscriptions rights. Making it so that the user is unable to use anything related to Xbox Live Ultimate. Any attempt to launch these titles resulted in an error code: (0x80072ee2) "Check your network", or "Renew your subscription" error.

    I thought that it may just be an issue with potential account corruption but found that removal and re-adding of the account didn't resolve the issue with the Ultimate subscription not being recognized.

    So, I went a bit further and reset the console while keeping games and apps. Same results after unfortunately... I then tried removing everything from the system. Now after adding my account back. I'm finding that I'm unable to launch basic apps even now. Each attempt at launch results in "Check your network" (0x80072ee2) This is making it so that I'm now also unable to report the problem from the console.



    On a positive note. I can launch any cloud game without issue.

    Apps Can't Connect to Xbox Account

    When your accessing these games to play, are using the Xbox App and going to my games and clicking "play" next to the title of the game? When a game attempts to launch do you see any type of error or does the game try load but fails to launch?

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with recovering the save data on your account.

    Typically, your save data is automatically stored using the
    Cloud storage
    . This process happen when you launch the game and whenever you close the game after your are done.

    Did you receive any error messages at all when you were attempting to launch the game after the update? Some multiplayer games store date in remote servers, so even if you delete your save data, you would only be losing progress in any offline modes in-game.

    However, once data is lost or deleted, there is no way to recover that save data once more. There is an article that I will link

    here
    that covers sync errors, if you were prompted with any of the error messages in that article, perhaps you can use the troubleshooting techniques there to resolve it.

    I hope this helps provide some clarity on this matter.

    The linked article in this is absolutely your best bet here. All save data is backed up to, and restored from cloud storage as long as you’re connected to the internet. Unless you’ve manually cleared all save games from your cloud storage, it should still
    all be there regardless to what’s happened on your local console.

    There currently seems to be an outage affecting cloud gaming access as there are a lot of other recent threads reporting the same error. I’m also not able to access the cloud through Xbox.com/play or the cloud gaming app.

    Please report it at https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status so that it can be looked into further.
    Select 'Report' under 'Report a service outage', then select 'Cloud Gaming' > 'Launching Cloud Gaming'.
