    Apps and games crash


    since the last update I can't seem to play a game or use any of the apps including Internet explore without a crash. I have done a hard reset deleted games I haven't played. Unplug the Xboxx I have done everything short of reformatting the entire thing.
    When is this going to be fixed? When I am watching Netflix a crashes three times at least during an hour and a half movie.

    Apps Crash and Game Occasionally Freezes

    I was hoping that someone might have an idea on what's going on with my Xbox One before I call MS Support.

    I have a Day One edition system. Setup on the first day went fine. The update downloaded, installed, and the console restarted with no problems. However, since then, I have had nothing but trouble with the apps. Some examples are that, I have tried to
    download and install skype, netflix, or youtube, and the xbox wont do it and gives a message about how "something went terribly wrong. Please try again later." The same happened the first 4 times I tried to enter a 25-digit code for the AC4: season pass.

    The second major issue I have had is that while playing AC4 (install from disc), the game will just freeze at moments. The sound countinues in the background, but the video and controls are frozen. I still have control over the xbox. I am able to hit
    the guide button on the controller and go back to the home screen, but the game remains frozen. I either have to quit the game or wait about 3-4 minutes for it to resume. I have been able to jump to the home screen and activate another program like snap,
    and that seemed to have jolted the game back into running, but then it will freeze again 15 mins later.

    Does anyone have a clue what's going on, or should I just call MS?

    Try Power cycling your console by pressing the Power Button and the Eject Button at the same up until the console turns off. Once console is fully powered off, unplug PSU from wall outlet and remove power cord from console. Plug back in everything after
    a minute and turn on console.

    • Clear persistent storage 3x

    Go to Settings > Select Disc & Blu-Ray > Persistent Storage > Select Clear Persistent Storage.

    It usually does the magic!

    If everything else failed. Have your console replace/repair.

    Hi Autumn, sorry to hear the game is crashing. Can you tell us what version of the app your using? Does the game also crashing when using the Xbox App (Beta)?

    It shouldn't crash because those haven't been updated, no....however, that doesn't mean to say it isn't possible....sometimes PC apps can crash because something else isn't up-to-date, especially if the non-updated app is running in the background.

    What is happening when the game crashes? Are you getting any error messages? Did the crashing start recently and was the game working fine before?

    Xbox App on Windows 10 Crashes when clicking on game

    I'm still getting the same issue after repairing the gaming service and issuing the command from the PowerShell as the administrator. It seems to crash the app whenever I click on anything to do with gamepass from the main screen. Even clicking on my subscription crashes the app.

    Interestingly enough If I click on the All PC games and try and download from there I'm able to click the install button and get past the app crashing.

    For real this sucks. Best game of the year and I can't even play. App insta crashes when it gets to the first all black screen. Loading wheel does a half a turn, then stops. Followed by app crash.
