    Approved for gamertag recovery but haven't gotten it back!!


    I lost my Gamertag FOTUS back in 2005 due to a lack of understanding with the wording behind the email about renewing my subscription. I was approved for my gamertag with an SR number, I have not gotten it back yet, I was approved 4/23/2014 and have not
    heard back yet! Please help!!!!!!!

    i'd like to recovery my gamertarg from a perma ban account

    Hi , 2 month ago i call microsoft about how can i recovery my perma ban account Gamertag and they told me to go on a microsoft website and delete my hotmail and after the delay i could get my Gamertag recovery on another account. But , my hotmail got deleted
    today and i still can get my gamertag and i call them today and they are telling me there is no way for me to get it back. My gamertag is Ezzy (perma ban account) and my new acc is Cyroxin but i'd like to get my gamertag Ezzy back and i don't know why an employe
    told me to delete my hotmail if i can't get my Gamertag back ?

    Hello there.

    Try contacting Microsoft support and give them the number that you received for the gamertag recovery and they should be able to give you directions from their on what to do. Also Microsoft support can take a long time to respond as I put in a request with
    them and didn't get a reply for 3 months so contact them directly and that should get your account back.

    them and didn't get a reply for 3 months so contact them directly and that should get your account back.

    I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your account recovery.

    Kindly check your junk and spam folders just in case the results are there. If it doesn't work, try to use different browsers and devices to request from the account recovery webform.

    Microsoft takes account security very seriously, that's why Account Recovery is an automated process with no human influence. If you don't have the correct information, you may not be able to get through account verification using the Recovery Form.

    The Account Recovery Form requires adequate information to prove that you are the owner of the account. The Account Recovery Process can be a time-consuming process, but providing as much info as possible from the start of the process will increase the possibility of being verified by the automated process. You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft.

    Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

    I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your refund request.

    This seems to be an ongoing issue and a lot of gamers were also complaining about the same refund problem recently. This also applies if you have used an Xbox gift card/Microsoft balance as a payment method.

    Usually, it will take 3 - 7 business days (excluding weekends and due to the ongoing refund delay) to have the refunded amount reflected on your payment method depending on your bank.

    If you haven't received your refund on the 7th day, you may contact your payment provider for a follow-up with your refund request.
