Application performance severely degraded after Nov update

Nov update has come and gone. And whilst performance benefits to applications and Cortana were promised, Microsoft has somehow managed to deliver exactly the opposite. All applications now seem to take an additional 15 seconds to launch - the most visible
example being when you turn on xbox (having set it to go straight to TV) and you sit there and stare at the TV application icon filling the screen for 10+ seconds.

And then I had to turn off Cortana today and revert back to the old "Xbox ..." because Cortana would take 15 seconds to even ACK that someone had spoken. Turning off Cortana and reverting to "Xbox..." has completely eliminated this performance issue.

So all in all, yet another total whiff on an update. I still struggle to get basic live TV working flawlessly and now I read that Xbox wants to actually implement a DVR? Can I instead suggest getting the basics rock solid? Otherwise you are destined to be
nothing more than a game console.

Oh - and if you could fix your support forums, that'd be great. Search is totally broken and so these threads are largely useless.

Can't change 'strict' NAT type on Xbox One

Well sometimes it can be on your ISP end, and since your using DSL the quality of the line between your home and the DSLAM can be degraded, and that can be an issue, but I won't think its that just yet. Is QoS enabled? If so, try disabling that, and make
sure your ports are fowarded as well; if you see the same or degraded performance after the change, enable it again, and post back.

flash drive kills my profile

It's possible your flash drive's performance has degraded and is no longer able to be used with your Xbox. If you use another, does the same behavior occur?

If you have several digital download games open, does it degrade performance? I have 5 people in my family, and if each of us has 2 or 3 paused games.... you get what I'm saying.

No. It's the only attachment in the game that actually degrades the weapons performance for something useless.

It sounds like you have. corrupted file somewhere. You may want to try uninstalling the game, then clearing local saved games before installing again.
