Discus and support Appearing Online when Offline (Xbox is turned off) in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Hi, I have a strange issue, a few of my friends told me that i was appearing Online when i wasn't even near my Xbox.     Appearing Online when Offline (Xbox is turned off)


    Hi,

    I have a strange issue, a few of my friends told me that i was appearing Online when i wasn't even near my Xbox.

    It didn't show a status as well e.g. Xbox dashboard or Xbox App.

    Any idea what this could be?

    I already checked my security settings and recent activity but there is nothing out of the ordinary there...

    It happens while I'm asleep, with my computer turned off completely. And I rarely ever log on to the website. I changed my password just in case though.

    I was going to say when I'm on my laptop, I "look" like I'm online because on my GC, it says "Last played less than a minute ago" when I haven't played at all. I've been watching TV for almost 2 hours. But If your PCs off, I'm lost on this one.

    Go too the option for appearing offline and turn that option off too appear online.

    I wonder if that would even work. You sign in when you appear online which would reset the 3 day timeout when you go to appear offline.But what happens after you turn the xbox off when you had set Skype to appear offline? Would it revert to appearing online

    Hi, If your on line and change your preference to "Appear Offline" then it shows how long you have been off line for (Even when your on) and if you turn your console off it still shows from when you changed your preference to appearing offline.

    the exact same just happened to me, it is a simple fix. I usually have my profile on appear offline and I believe this to be the problem. Appear online and turn your console off and on again, everything should work.
