Appearing offline when I have appear online selected?

I've tried messing with the settings on my Xbox One and on the website, but nothing has worked so far.

Ok so I select appear offline which shows in the box and according to what you said I will appear offline but the box has now changed to appear online, but what you say next is that if what I see says appear online then I'm appearing online, so am I online or offline? lol damn it Microsoft.

When looking at the indicator if it says Appear Offline that means that you are currently online to the community.

Keep in mind that is a toggle and whatever it shows you it means the opposite to the community. Simply put if says Appear Offline and then you click on it you will be offline but the indicator will change to say Appear Online.

I hope that makes since and you may already be aware of that but I thought I would mention it just in case.

 

Like Genesis1953 already wrote, that settings my confuse some players and you may select wrong option. Just be sure that you switch it opposite and then try again.

Also be sure that you are connected to Xbox Live.

 

Yeah, I know that. It still says I'm offline though.

 

But you are connected Xbox Live right? You will have access to all Xbox Live features and you can see Community, Movies, Music pages/windows?

 

Yeah, I'm playing Multiplayer and everything.
