Appear to be offline to other player

We have two computers with two copies of minecraft xbox edition. The two appear to be linked because we can play games together...one player on one computer and another on another. But when we go to the add friends page, one player appears to be online
and the other always appears to be offline.

EXA: Player0ne223 on Computer A can see the other player...PlayerTwo342 on Computer B and that person (PlayerTwo342) is online. They can join up in a game.

But when PlayerTwo342 on Computer B looks at the add friends page, PlayerOne223 (on Computer A) shows up, but appears to be "offline"...always. So even though both games are up and running and they can join up and play games together, one of the players
(PlayerOne223, Computer A) always appears to be offline as viewed from PlayerTwo342's computer.

Clearly Computer A is hooked up to the network AND the internet...I am typing from Computer A right now. The two computers can "see" each other in internet explorer.

Minecraft for Windows 10 through the Microsoft Store is not labeled as Xbox edition, which is the console only version of Minecraft that is no longer updated. The current version of Minecraft on the Xbox One is just titled "Minecraft" while on Windows it
is labeled as Minecraft for Windows 10. Just to clear up any confusion.

Does it show a player is offline in-game when trying to invite friends on the menu inside Minecraft? Or do they show offline through the Xbox App or Xbox Console Companion app? Press Win key + G to open the game bar and then open the Social overlay and check
if they show online there.

I know that on a Xbox console you can select to appear offline and even set your privacy settings to choose who can see your online status (everyone, friends only or blocked). Since you mentioned it is an Xbox edition I am guessing that there is probably
a setting that you can change which would allow you to see the other player. Not being familiar with Minecraft of PC gaming I am not sure where to look, but just look around in a settings menu. Hopefully you are able to find it.

Yes, I found the location where it seems to offer the option to toggle "online" to "offline." I toggled it while watching the other computer and nothing changed with regard to the computer appearing "offline." It would seem that whatever is showing...offline
or online is what the setting is. But maybe I misunderstand and what is showing...eg "offline" mean you click it go GO offline and then it shows "online" and you click that to GO online. That would seem counter-intuitive.

Regardless, no matter how it is setting, the other computer sees this user as "offline." Thanks for you responses.

tell your friend to block and report him via his console and could also try to appear offline for a while so the other player cant see him being online, your friend can message you still while appearing offline so you can still play games together

Yeah blocking communications and appearing offline will make it so it is nearly impossible to follow you. Also there is no naming and shaming on the forums so please refrain from posting other players gamertags.
