Appear online from PC?

Okay so I don't have windows 8 yet but,

There is this feature where you go to games > sign into xbox live and it's Windows Games | Xbox

basically that.

If I sign in from my PC into xbox live on my account, I can see what my friends are doing but can they see when I come online from there?

Is there any other possible way to appear online on xbox 360 without having the actual console?

I need to know this before I go out and get a xbox one

correct. Its been buggy, though.Click to expand... Definitely. It would appear me back online again randomly. Sometimes I don't even know if I'm appearing offline or online. Lol

Ok so I select appear offline which shows in the box and according to what you said I will appear offline but the box has now changed to appear online, but what you say next is that if what I see says appear online then I'm appearing online, so am I online or offline? lol damn it Microsoft.

Yes, if you have the Xbox One console friends on the 360 can see your online status, not what you're doing though. I don't believe friends can see your online status when on a phone or PC and I'm not sure if the windows games app will be any different.

Yeah, from what I know you don't appear online while you're just using the PC. However if you start playing a game (i'm only sure about Games for Windows, not apps) then you will be shown as playing that game to your friends on Live. I remember my mate used
to play Supreme Commander on PC and I'd always see him from my 360 as playing it

So in answer to your question, on windows 8 you'll only be seen on Live if you're playing a game. It is possible that you might appear online when using the Xbox app on Win8, however I've never noticed that before... but it could just be something I've missed.

And lastly, I don't know of any other way to appear online unfortuantely. Lots of ways to see other people online, but not show yourself as online

From what I could gather online from others who have this issue, it does not appear as if the game supports HDR on PC.

Strange. I've seen online that with the patch 1.3 the HDR was introduced for the PC version of the game.

Please try to install an Xbox app from your mobile or PC. Check if your status changes to online when you access your account through the app. On the profile tab from the app, make sure to select "Appear online".
