Appear Offline When I'm Online

I created a Microsoft Live account, however I always show as being offline, both to my friends and on my profile. See screenshot 1.

I can also receive messages from my friends, but when I try to send a message I get an error sometimes, sometimes it goes through.

When my friend tries to invite me to a Minecraft realm (either via username or email), he gets the following error: "Could not invite the provided name."

Based on other threads, I tried the following:

1. I checked my privacy settings and the setting that allows others to see that I'm online is set to Everyone.

2. I added a phone number and verified my account using a text from Microsoft.

I'm guessing these issues are all related.

How can I show up as online? How can I send messages? How can my friend invite me to his realm?

This is a current issue with xbox, hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Sounds like you have your settings correct. Other thing i would check is go to your gamer pic in upper left corner. Select your profile. There is 4 options on that pop up screen. The last one is if you appear online .. Offline... Or you are busy. Double
check that and make sure its showing you online as well.

Go back to Settings and try making all options under profile privacy to Default settings, allowing everyone to view your activities and profile. I am currently not on my console to give a proper route but I know that all your issues can be resolved through
that path.

Go too the option for appearing offline and turn that option off too appear online.
