Appear offline not working

Hi. When I use the "appear offline" feature at My Profile, it shows me online, and what I'm playing.

I was wondering if this feature actually shows what I'm playing, because sometimes I would prefer some people didn't see me Haha.

And I do it over twice, set the "Appear Online" but it still show me.

Keep in mind that indicator is a toggle and whatever it says on the screen you are showing the opposite to the community. When it says "Appear Online" that means if you click it you will appear online but the indicator will change to "Appear Offline". I

Edit : going offline before changing appear offline doesn't seem to work anymore...

My son has a set amount of time during a set period, but this doesn't work. I have followed all the guidance wrt screen time, and all the suggested fixes for this problem. Internet chatter seems to suggest that appearing off line can bypass screen time.

as far as I know the "appear offline" option should not by-pass the parental control. Can you kindly give us more details about this issue? How did you notice it?
