Apparently the age of my account is under 18, but it says that I'm over 18.

When I go to sign up for things like the Sea of Thieves inside program, and when I try and use the Xbox Insider Hub, it doesn't allow me to use the programs as it says that I'm under 18. This happens even though the age set on my account is OVER 18. Is there
a way to fix this?

How do i change my online account settings to adult

Hello, when someone set this account up for you they put your date of birth under the age of 18. Once you do that your account entered into the XBOX Live system as a "child" as any account under the age of 18 is automatically a "child" - If your account
is over the age of 18 please visit ->
support.microsoft.com/.../945418. That will teach you how to promote the account from child to an adult and get rid of the restriction. If you are not over the age of 18 then you cannot download the content on the account. If this was done by mistake then
unfortunately there is still no way to get the content until you hit the age of 18 on that account unless you were to make a new XBOX Live account. Hope that helps.

NOTE the age of the account has to be 18 in order to promote it, if your age is lower than your real age you will have to wait til the age of the account is 18, even if your are over 18 the age of the account has to be over 18, and there is NO way to change
the age if you entered it wrong.

Well your real age maybe over 18 but the XBL account's age probably under.

Is it possible to add a new member as an Adult to promote the account.

If the account is under 18 you will not be able to promote it anyway, has to be over 18..

Hello Toast,

From what I know when you create your Microsoft account the birthday that you enter when you sign up sticks with your account. When you made the account did you use or have a gamer tag under the age of 18 and are you now under under or over the age of 18.
If your over this is mostlikly a glitch but if not you will have to wait until your older than 18 to play mature content. I could be wrong but from my understanding and having past experience with the same problem this is all I can say. Good luck
