Apparently, I own Forza 6, but how?

Okay, this is a bizarre question, but I noticed something odd today. I have Forza 6 showing in my Ready to Install section of My Games & Apps, but not only did I not buy it (it shows up nowhere on my purchase history under my MS account) I also have no memory
of winning it (like in a contest drawing) or even downloading a demo for it. Was there a beta/demo for Forza 6 that I don't remember? OR, is it possible it was one of those holiday sale mega deals? It says in the Xbox App that I purchased it on 12/29, but
that doesn't show up on my purchase history.

I'm trying to figure out if I somehow mistakenly received this license (if that's even possible) or if I really do own it. Thing is, it seems like this may have been around the time of my house fire, so I could have won it or downloaded a demo and not remember,
because pretty much everything from that time period is a foggy memory.... My fire was on December 5, so I wonder if this came as a code in the console my folks got me to replace the one I lost in the fire...?

A bit freaked out, but it might just be traumatic events affecting my elderly 37-year-old brain. ;-)

I done Google search about Forza 6 and DX12 and apparently Turn 10 posted on the Forza forums saying Forza 6 wouldn't be using DX12 so it was just another rumour.

So apparently this rumored expansion for Forza 6 released today.

 

its because it had free play days this weekend. you could download it and play it this weekend only for free that goes for every gold member out there. nothing to worry about.

 

Thanks man! Okay, so, do you own Forza 6? I'm wondering if you go into the Xbox App if it will show "You purchased this item on 12/29" like mine shows. I never actually downloaded and played in the free play days, so I'm wondering if it just "automatically"
showed up as a purchase for all Gold members, even if you didn't actively download it.... Weird.

Did you play the demo at any point?

I've heard of people describing the same thing as you & they played the demo.

The free to play weekend is over today so you should loose access to the full game at some point today.

 

Thanks for your help! I never did play the demo, or at least, I have zero memory of it. Thing is, at the time it says I purchased it (12/29) I was trying to get all of my digital content that I for-sure own downloaded and reinstalled, so I know I didn't
play the demo at that time, because I had too many other things to download!

I'll keep an eye on it today and see if I lose access! Otherwise, if it's still there tomorrow, I guess I'll try installing it and see if it gives me the "do you own this game?" error. Shouldn't be any harm in that, right?
