Apparently error code 0x8923000a doesn't exist?

I just got a brand new Xbox One S, tried to perform the initial update, didn't work, tried all of the steps to make it right (Wired/wireless/via usb/someone else's house and internet, the factory reset, even a phone call to support). Took console one back
to the store I purchased from, got a second console, performed all the above steps again, still no good.

So I am receiving the following error code "0x8923000a"

Spent two hours in Live Support, repeating the same things over and over, same questions, apparently this code does not exist, I need to take the console back to the store (again) and get them to install the updates (they won't do that).

Live chat support and and also Twitter from Xbox Official 'tech support', no one can explain this error, is this some mystery? Have I found the Illuminati?

 

I got this too!

Just opened a brand new One S and the initial update failed with the exact same error codes.

Each time I tried to update it would progress a little further with each attempt. 20%, 23%, 26% etc....

I wonder if I kept attempting, it would eventually update, lol.

Same issue for me. Both on wireless and wired network. Now downloading the manual update and will attempt that.

 

The offline update method worked for me, had to download the 4gb file to get it to work though.

i got it to work by connected my xbox to the hotspot on my phone and using the data off that.
