App / Store Blocking

HI,

I have two requirements with the Xbox One that don;t seem to be able to be met...

Idealy, I would like to block access to the Microfoft Store completely from the Xbox for the safety of my son - but for some reason that doesn;t seem to be possible. Can someone tel me of a way to achieve this?

Secondly, given I've not found a way to achieve the above, I use the "Blocking" facility to block apps - particularly browser apps I don;t want my son usiong. However, it seems that this doesn;t work properly either. I can block an app but it sems that all
that has to be done to circumvent the block is to re-download the app from the store and full access is granted again until I next block it - so, with the app in question "lobo browser" the entire internet is then freely available.

All over the Xbox suport site and literature it claims that Microsoft are concerned about family safety and safeguarding children, but it clearly just doesn;t work.

Can I transfer the Xbox Insider Hub App, from the 360 to my Windows 10 Machine

Hi there MagicSword801,

If your school is blocking the Windows store app then we would not have a way to by pass that. Are you able to take your PC to a public library to check if you are able to get the app on their Network by chance?

That has all already been done, we even have the age limit set below his age. The store is on his blocked list and i just looged into his profile and went on the store no problem and downloaded a app. I logged back into the family thing and the store is
now on both the allowed and blocked app sections, along with several of other apps that have been blocked. Not entirely sure how thats even possible

Hi, K371007! It's my pleasure to assist you with this today.

Please double-check if that person is still blocked. If so, it could be that they sent the message before you blocked the gamer.

If it does, you can try these steps and see if that will fix the issue.

Sign Out of Your Accounts (Xbox App and Microsoft Store App):

Open the Microsoft Store by pressing Windows Key + S, typing Microsoft Store, and selecting App Settings.

Click on Repair and then Reset the app.

Repeat the same process for the Xbox App.

Restart Your Device:

After repairing and resetting both apps, restart your device.

Sign back into both the Xbox App and the Microsoft Store using the same email.

Check if this resolves the issue. Thank you!

you have tried to redeem in console, phone app , web or Microsoft store. the giftcard not have a regional block. if is a game, this is a same region
