App Password Not Working

Hello everyone

I also get that annoying sign in page every time I sign onto Xbox, and when I try to sign in with my email and password, it tells me that my account info is incorrect. I used to be able to just press B and get out of it and it would eventually sign me in.
Not any longer. I have two-step verification set up on my Hotmail account because banana heads from Brazil and China are always trying to get into my email. I got an app password twice this afternoon and attempted to sign in with it on my Xbox and it STILL
says that my account info is incorrect. Is there any way around this, or fixing this, so I can play some games?

people don't need to change email address when compromised, they need to change password and make sure they have proper security... that includes not using passwords on more than one service, if one service is compromised all those details are sold.

Someone in another country will pop up with it, even if it takes years to happen. My skype password took approximately 4 years from compromise to have someone log in and use it.

This app makes you click approve when logging into websites, and it's instant once you click "accept" the website will load in normal.

Any devices that don't work with the app like xbox 360 will have you go to website once to create a password (it will generate a password that isn't easy) and you use that on those devices to login with your normal user name.

 

Password not working

My xbox live password is not working. i've tried everything. I've tried using different email accounts. i've tried changing my password. i HAVE changed my password and used that password. i can log into xbox.com but not into my profile to play my games.
Answers?

 

Hello there, this actually sounds like you may need to update and verify your security proofs, please follow the link and click "manage your security info' and sign-in and add security proofs if you haven't already and also verify them through sending a
code to the mobile number or email:

If you're still getting the error when signing-in, try deleting your profile from the console selecting the profile only option, clear your cache, restart the console and re-download your profile and hopefully you shouldn't see the error again.

Delete and re-download profile:
support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete

Clear system cache:
support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache
