    For about 2 weeks now, my app has been unable to connect to my Xbox One console.

    At one point, the app showed 2 consoles on my network (I only have one console). They used to both connect to the same console, even though they were named differently. At one point, one of the two in that list stopped functioning, and then about 2 weeks
    ago, the other stopped working.

    I thought I would try to refresh the list, so I removed both from the list, and then clicked "Add a device", but nothing popped up in the list. I then went to the settings on my console and got the IP address (which is static), and typed that in, but it
    did not locate my device. Now I seem to be stuck, unable to connect to my console.

    Other things I have tried: Hard resetting Computer, Xbox, Network.... Renaming my console... Clearing all network settings on the console and letting it auto-generate.... Updated my firewall settings to allow all traffic between devices on the same network....
    I am now out of ideas.

    On another note, have any of you tried running the Windows Update troubleshooter? If not give it a shot, see if any problems are fixed, and if so reboot your computer, power cycle your
    Xbox One console (hold the power button for 10 seconds or until it turns off), boot the console back up, and see if you can do the Add a Device and connect.

    I wondered if that was the case DaGingr. But I am noticing that my NAT settings keep going to "Moderate" even though I have all my ports opened and it is hard wired directly into the only router in the system.

    Really annoying. But at the moment I'm not sure if its my ISP or the console that's causing the problem. It's a bit strange how many threads on here saying it "Used to work and now it doesn't". Surely its an Xbox problem?

    Any advice Microsoft?

    Sorry to hear you're having trouble add your console! To check, how is your Xbox One connected to your Network? Is it connected wired or wireless? Let us know App cannot connect to console :)

    I've been having the same issue Beagle, both the regular and beta apps cant find the xbox with the IP address but i can connect perfectly through the ipad app

    Sorry about the delayed response. There have been several fixes implemented. Can everyone make sure they're on they've update to Windows 10 Anniversary update? Furthermore, please attempt a factory reset (don't worry, you can keep your games and apps).

  10. Scantily, The factory reset did not seem to fix my issue, although I did spend another 3 hours downloading all of my games again.. What do you mean by Anniversary update? I have tried both the official app as well as the beta version of the app, but at this
    time, neither of them have updates available. Is this a third app?

    Maka, while I am in the Xbox One Update Preview program, it has occurred both under the preview dashboard as well as full rollouts. I have submitted multiple errors and bugs using the submit feedback page on the dashboard, but this is not specific to update
    previews.

    Also, third party anti-viruses and firewalls are notorious for blocking access to something like this. Can you test to see if those might be causing the issue?

    I've got Windows 10 Home edition, Build 14393.18.

    No third-party antivirus software installed.
