Discus and support AOE 4 Gamertag in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; My gamertag has been changed but in games it still displays the old gamertag which no longer exists?     AOE 4 Gamertag


    My gamertag has been changed but in games it still displays the old gamertag which no longer exists? I paid $12 to change it but obviously wasted my money.
    After I paid the money and changed my name, I was really happy, only to find that when I opened AOE 4 to play, my old username still shows. I wasted my money Changing my name.

    Hi,Daniel! I'm Luis, a fellow Xbox Gamer . Thanks for reaching us out here.

    How long ago did you change GT?

    Try deleting the account´s cache

    Delete account Cache

    Remove Account:

    1. Press the Xbox button.

    2. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

    3. Select the account that you want to remove, and then Remove.

    4. Close.

    Power Cycle:

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

    2. Wait for 5 minutes and then turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

    Add Account:

    1. Press the Xbox button.

    2. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

    3. Enter the Email Address and the Password.

    4. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

    5. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences to add your Microsoft account to your Xbox console again.

    After that, check your ingame GT

    Ok I would recommend you let 24hrs pass by as some GT changes cant take a little bit longer to update.

    In the meantime can you try sign out and then back in.

    If the GT does not change after the 24hrs period contact support to have them check your account.

    I'm really happy for the fans of AoE. It seems with the remaster and the looming release of AoE 4 that players will have something to look forward to for a long time.
