AOE 3 serial key failed on steam

I order a age of empire 3 (box edition), and I'm not able to register it on steam.

Is there a solution ?

The only thing I can think of to try is to enter your serial/product key into Steam. There's an option to add games to your steam library, then enter the product key. If that works, you would be able to register your serial key with Steam, then digitally
install it through there.

To activate your game on Games for Windows LIVE you first need to log in With your Microsoft Account (The Gamertag you signed into Xbox.com with).

To sign in, load Fallout 3 and press the Home key to access the LIVE interface. Click 'sign in' and log in with your LIVE ID. If all goes well your account will then be downloaded. After this is done, you will then be prompted to insert your game serial.

To find your serial key on Steam: Go to your Steam library, find your game in the list, right click and select 'View CD Key'. Either write the key down or press 'Copy to Clipboard'.

You can then either enter the key manually when prompted or press Ctrl+V to paste the key into the application.

What or who is the editor? Do you mean Publisher?

A problem with a Steam title requires Steam Support. Exactly why is the title not able to be registered on Steam? Has the token previously been used? Is there an error message?
