Anyway to turn Auto Renewal Back on for Xbox Live?

So I have only had my X1 and XBLG subscript since November. I purchased a card and used the 12M code. I turned off auto renewal and removed my CC from my account as i did not want to keep it listed. However a very good deal for XBLG just came up and I
purchased another year, but my error code says :

This error message occurs when you have an active subscription but auto renewal is turned off, and the payment option used to purchase that subscription is no longer associated with it or has been removed from your account.

Solution

Because the payment option has been removed from your current subscription, you will not be able to add a prepaid code or token while your subscription is still active. You must wait until your subscription has ended to redeem the token. Subscription tokens
do not expire.

So is there really no other way but to way 5 months with this code in my hand to renew my subscription? This seems kind of dumb that i cannot stack prepaid codes for my XBLG subscription

Gold Auto Renewal Problem

If you used a prepaid card it should not have turned auto renewal back on. If you purchased a new subscription from Xbox then it would turn auto renewal back on.

 

Turning off my Auto-Renewal..

I recently had surgery on my mouth so I am unable to talk is there anyway that I can turn off auto-renewal without having to call Xbox Support?

 

Hi there, I believe you can stack up to 3 years of Xbox Live Gold prepaid cards, but they still need an active payment option. I didn't think you would have to wait though as my payment option has expired while my prepaid code was active and I didn't go
through this (unless something's changed over the years).

I would suggest going to the following link and seeing if you can update your payment option and add the prepaid card, I think this is the best link to manage anything with your account:

Yah i have tried and somehow when i first paid with a prepaid card and then shut off auto renewal i seemed to have messed something up and it just will not take the code and let me confirm it. Wonder if calling them would help solve the issue

 

^If you haven't called them I would highly suggest doing so as they are the only ones to help with billing issues.
