    Is there anyway to get the new version if Microsoft Edge? I heard there's a new one and I want to use it. Or is it not released yet. I heard I could get it in Xbox Insiders Hub

    What happen to Internet explorer?

    They changed it to Microsoft Edge but it was poorly optimized anyways.

    The new Microsoft edge

    The "new" Edge is currently only available to Alpha Skip Ahead Insider preview members.

    Insider issues are handled by Reddit Xbox Insiders forum. This forum is for General release OS issues.

    Edit.. As of 22nd July "new" Edge is available to Alpha, Beta, Delta Insider previews so it is getting closer to a General release.

    Microsoft Edge on Xbox is always low on Memory

    Because of how Microsoft Edge on Xbox has limited memory available to it, this causes the tab to get automatically discarded almost immediately or in a few seconds even if that tab was using less memory. I also discovered a bug in Microsoft Edge that caused my profile to reset when I was closing and restarting Microsoft Edge. I got a message saying my profile had a problem loading, and Microsoft Edge closed shortly afterward. I reopened Microsoft Edge only to get the welcome to the new Microsoft Edge screen to discover that I was logged out of my accounts when the problem happened. It scared me to think that someone had hacked my account.

    You aren't supposed to

    It's a closed browser

    The change was to put it on par with the desktop browser as far as speed goes

    EXES and java programs int allowed only html5 apps work as long as it stays in the sandbox
