    Anyway to fix the Disc Eject button?


    So my disc eject button stopped working. When I press it, nothing happens, there is no "ding" sound and it doesn't eject the disc. I used the paperclip method to push the disc out, so the disc is no longer stuck inside.

    But I have tried resetting the console multiple times, using the button on front, the controller, the side panel menu. And unplugged the wires and let it sit. And when turning the console back on, the button still doesn't work.

    Is their anyway to fix the button?

    Cause according to the repair section of this site, it will cost me $115 to send it in since its no longer under warranty (figures it would break 14 months after I bought it), and if its going to cost that much to just fix the button when nothing else is
    wrong with it, i'd rather just trade it in to Gamestop and put the credit toward a new console.

    It wouldn't bother me that much, but unlike the 360, there is no disc eject button on the dashboard.

    Check disc error

    Mines done this loads tonight now. A hard reboot does fix it but it re-occurs again. What also happens is when you eject the disc, the disc slides out as normal then re enters the discs back into the drive. I then press to eject, then when i put a new disc in it tells me to check the disc. So annoying.

    Sometimes my Xbox One won't read discs.

    It's a problem with the disc drive where it doesn't always drop the disc into the tray and spin it. Hard rebooting fixes the problem, as does continuously insert/eject over and over.

    Keira, I know self repairs are frowned upon by the powers that be BUT I had this same issue and the only thing that ever fixed it for me was detaching the connector under the face plate for the power/eject buttons. I mean I use the controller to turn my
    Xbox on and eject discs anyway. Not a solution for everyone probably but if you're oow and want an easy fix, it's worth a shot 😊

    I remember about six months ago someone with the same problem they simply used a soft cloth to wipe over it and it was fixed you could try that.

    Argh! The XB1 is so frustrating!

    Voice control for ejecting discs? When you have to get up to swap the disc anyway? It takes all of two seconds for the system to eject your disc.

    @SGT SADLER There is actually an update coming for parties where you join the party without having to click "join party" They said it, and it comes out before TitanFall. And another add was to make friends or switch things faster so basically instant. There
    is no option to eject disc form controller. there might be a later update on that!
