    Xbox one -> hdmi -> onkyo tx-nr717 amp -> hdmi -> Epson 5020ub projector.

    This has worked relatively fine. The amp also has wii u, ps3, Xbox 360 connected via hdmi.

    • Onkyo amp died the other day. I have temporarily swapped it out for my old Sony str-dg1100. It has three hdmi inputs.
    • -wii u, ps3, directv, and Xbox 360 all work fine in all three hdmi inputs on the Sony amp.
    • -the Sony amp will not recognize the hdmi connection from the Xbox one in any of the three hdmi inputs. Multiple known-good hdmi cables attempted.
    • -if I connect the Xbox one directly to the Epson projector with hdmi, I get video (the projector has no audio).
    • -I have attempted disabling 3d, 24hz, and 50hz in the Xbox one's video settings. I have unplugged power from the Xbox one repeatedly to hard reset it. Still no change in the behavior.
    Is there something special about the hdmi output on the Xbox one that would prevent an admittedly older amp from recognizing a signal from it?

    Sales and Specials Tile?

    Where is the "Sales and Specials" tile on the Xbox One dashboard? On the 360, I would go to "games" and then there was always a tile that said "sales and specials." I would go there every Tuesday to see what the new weekly special is. I can't seem to
    find that sort of convenience on the X1. I can go to the games section, but I can't find anything about sales and specials. I've reverted to checking on xbox.com.

    Hi Larry,

    The HDMI cable that came included in this bundle, which was released in 2016 and is no longer being produced, was just a normal HDMI cable for the Xbox One, it wasn't anything special. The bundle was sold by Microsoft but the game, Quantum Break, was developed
    by Remedy Entertainment.

    Therefore, a picture of the HDMI cable won't be useful because you can find many pictures of the Xbox One HDMI cable online.

    Mini-HDMI is just the regular HDMI pinout in smaller form factor. Strange that your monitor uses mini-HDMI, but you don't need a special adapter. You would just need to get an HDMI-to-mini HDMI cable. For a monitor of that caliber (and price), it had better
    at least come with one of these cables!

    You also mentioned it's HDMI is version 2.0. HDMI 2.0 is the required version for the Xbox One S/X to output 4K@60Hz with HDR, so it
    should display without a problem. The things you read about some monitors only supporting up to 4K@30Hz is because their HDMI ports are version 1.4.

    Hi COLLEYassassin, your best option would be to just purchase a new one. Any HDMI cable will do, you don't need a special or fancy one. They can be bought extremely cheaply in the right places. I recommend monoprice.com.
