There is a huge difference between the two. What you have done by Edit is Quoting out of Context. Which could be but not limited to, confirmation bias selective perception, Cherry Picking, Quote Mining or a Straw-man of my argument.

The stupidity of giving advice to someone with a potential hardware issue starting with "IDK if true or not, but I was once told" can't be lost on anyone who reads this thread. I was once told that if you get a Unicorn to urinate on the power brick it
cures all problems and doubles your storage which is about as useful to,the OP as your advice.

OP no I cant say I have heard a whine on either of the Ones I have owned.

there was some original xbox ones that got coil whine when the kinect was disconnected, this was caused by extra power being present on the board, it is nothing dangerous or problematic, some high end graphics cards get this also.

(as an example if you plugged to or more controllers in while in instant on and they started charging the coil whine would diminish.)

But with the one you either have it or you don't, it is from the manufacturing process and cannot be completely eliminated. if it is very audible like you can hear it on the other side of the room then i would return it, if it is just noticable up close then
that falls within manufactures guidelines usually.

That's where my head is at as well unfortunately, but i think they shouldn't notified owners some how. There's ads all over my dashboard, I'm sure they could've used that space to notify people. Just my opinion obviously. Still interested in a phone call
though. Know of any way that i can get one?
