Anyone with gigabit internet wanna help me?

Hey guys, I'm trying to diagnose whether or not I need to send my Xbox One in for service or if the console itself cannot actually handle gigabit speeds.

Has anyone actually ever got above 380meg-400meg speeds when testing their Xbox One's speed? Using speedtest.net on the laptop, my speeds fly. But on the console, they bounce around way too much and average around 110meg down and 40 up.

Anyway, just curious if anyone actually gets the higher speeds offered by fiber and such or if I'm just grasping at straws. Support set up a repair order but I'm just not too keen on being without the console for 20+ days when their is a possibility that
the Xbox One just can't do it.

with gigabit connection you are still limited to your router or hub

your connection to the internet isn't the same as your connection to the network

you are also sharing your gigabit connection with other network users

this is a isp issue

Also, yes, I'm hardlined to the modem and all of that other jazz. Not looking for a fix, here. Just curious if anyone can fully utilize their google fiber or whatever other service.

your Windows, or Mac machine, the results are always based on best ping. This is based on the lowest metrical value on a hop-by-hop basis between your endpoint, routers, and to its final destination. So it matters which and where this specific test server
(router) is to be physically located from a geographical point of view, where distance and utilization on each link in the chain matters.

These tests are pre-configured with IP addresses to specific test servers around the globe. The Xbox One has only one, geographical point of view, server that let you dignose network statistics. This server is located in Seattle, WA (US).

Go back to your PC, or Mac machine and run speedtest, but this time, instead of using the default settings, change the location of a test server to a test server located in Seattle, WA (US) and have us know if your previous results are starting to degrade with
the change you've made.

 

I have actually done this. And that's what I am using as a basis. That's why I am just here to poll others' speedtests on the Xbox One. But thank you for the response.
