Anyone remember when the forums were fun and fast loading?

I think you can also blame the pricing for a lot of diminishing stock in shops. People just aren't willing to pay the prices! I was in GAME yesterday and noticed Fifa 14 on the Xbox One for £52.99. Really, who on earth
is going to pay that for a game that will be out of date in 2 months?

I do certainly agree about online gaming though. Its become far too serious, and if you aren't coming across people taking it far too serious, its people who are trying to spoil it for everyone else. I used to enjoy just
going into random games and playing by myself when other mates weren't on, I haven't done that for years now and literally only game with mates now as thats the only time I can guarantee a good game.

It's not just this forum that's dying it's also other gaming forums, and the big one it's gaming it's self that's dying.

I actually think gaming has been undergoing something of a renaissance the past few years. Maybe it's Dark Souls that has changed my point of view.

I love playing on my own and meeting new people online but I have noticed that no one, litany no one talks anymore it's like a bled ghost town. I remember getting my orginal Xbox set up for live with halo2 I was guaranted a good game with tons of people
from around the world. Just feels very stale to me past few years it's a real shame.

Very true, and one of the main reasons i have steered clear of both the next gen consoles, the game prices on both systems are simply too high for my personal taste, and even if you take into account that Game are always the most expensive to buy games from
in store, even online you can only get this game for around the £42 mark at the cheapest, which is still too costly for me, so i am quite happy to sit this gen out for the next few years until a Crackdown 3 bundle launches.

It's not just this forum that's dying it's also other gaming forums, and the big one it's gaming it's self that's dying.

The fun factor that we once had in playing multiplayer games online has nearly all but gone, and that's on all the consoles, I can't speak about pc as I don't games on that any more. To me it seems more a chore than fun and that's not to say I don't play
regularly because I play daily still.

To top it off we've nearly lost all our places to shop for games now, even the big supermarkets are coming away from gaming, Sainsbury's Tesco and Asda's gaming shelves are getting smaller and the staff tell me that they don't receive no where near the amount
of stock they used to get in.

That's ok if you prefer buying online but I used to get a buzz once upon a time from going in and out of the gaming shops incase I saw a bargain that week, shopping in town isn't the same any more. Even shops like HMV have all but done away with the gaming
section now.

I have many friends or family members that have given up gaming all together or may just buy a couple of games a year, it's a shame as I still pretty much enjoy it, even though I'm now 49 I'm a daily online player, but that Buzz I used to get before entering
an online multiplayer game has almost gone.

It drops and rises for me based on time of day and day of week. I notice it runs slowest for me on a Thursday and Friday at about 5pm. Other than that it runs fairly okay.

Wish I could get faster broadband, out here in Lincs the best we can get is around 5mb.
