Anyone manage to Get Watch Dogs Yet

Finally it's almost here. The graphics have taken one worldy of a pounding, but the gameplay still looks mint. They mentioned how they wanted to make it a competing franchise with Assassin's Creed, but I can't personally find the appeal of having multiple
games like this, unless lots of new opportunities are made possible in a bigger city or something like that. Either way, Tuesday will be a good night.

 

@Gateway, Gamers have been getting games early for quite a while. Developers don't give two sheets about early releases unless they aren't making money.

I have never heard of anyone being banned for having a legit copy of any particular game.

When a hundred people get the game early, developers get the money early.

 

@Gateway you could not be more misinformed. Once a game has gone gold and is sitting in a warehouse ready to be sold, it's fair game. That rule you threw out refers to pirated copies of games or copies of games that are somehow stolen from the developer
before the game has gone gold and is finished. It has happened in the past.

If you buy the game legitimately, you will not be banned. The store will be fined, but nobody will be banned. Don't scare anyone.

And I havent seen it myself, but then again I havent checked. I'm just going to pick it up sometime next week. My hype for it has really fizzled in the past few weeks.

My son purchased a copy from a local independent shop yesterday for £59.99, I told him he was an idiot for paying that much but he is his father's son, I was impatient at his age lol

Anyway, I never played it myself but was watching him game, it looked very impressive.

As for getting banned for playing a "legit" copy early, like Mr Badger in this thread pointed out to me yesterday, it looks like the rules have been changed and you are taking a risk if you play something early ( another thing I pointed out to my son ).
I think it would be unfair though, there's a lot of people out there that don't use forums like this, or keep up to date with releases etc, so what if someone walks into the shop say where my son purchased his copy, see's Watch Dogs sitting on the shelf, thinks,
"I like the look of that" hands over their money, gets home and starts playing?

I would imagine a lot of people in the UK will get their copies today aswell, because this coming Monday is a bank holiday, means no post, a lot of online retailers dispatched their copies yesterday to ensure people get it for release. There was also talk
on Twitter yesterday that some Tesco and Asda stores were selling it early so there's a quite a few out there already playing it.

I actually tweeted Ubisoft yesterday asking them about it, as of yet I've heard nothing back so who knows. I don't think anything will happen to those playing "legit" copies early but again, it could.

"I've just received Watch Dogs Ed, no code(s) for the 5 outfits. Just installing the game, can't wait to play it"

@ UbisoftSupport " You will get codes via email on the Official release date of the game, 27th May, enjoy your game, thanks"

I'm not saying this is an "OK" to start playing early but there's loads of others talking to UbiSoftSupport saying they got the game early, no mention of ... "Don't start playing it yet"

 

I am getting my copy today from a friend that owes me a personal favour im getting the dedsec edition and coz i work 7am till 5:30pm i wont be able to collect it so his letting me have it early but because i respect him like a brother iv promised not to
even open it till midnight monday

^ I just got a reply from Ubisoft Support @UbisoftSupport, after asking them are people ok to play it early, the reply I've just received back,

"@LoftyWho Yes, you are ok to play the game, thanks [G]

 

No Spoilers ...

I had my doubts about this game all along and although it's way too early to judge it, all I can say from early impressions is
"WOW", incredible, in the first 30 minutes all my worries had disappeared! Again though it's early days, things can change but so far
very very very impressed!

Visually, no doubt in the coming days there will be loads of posts/threads saying "other" versions are better, this might be true, don't know and don't care to be honest but just to say, it looks incredible on Xbox One.

 

loft can u do us all a favour and make it so people cant join ur game see if u get punished

Both got XP,just the winner got more.
