Anyone manage to Get Watch Dogs Yet

There are lots of people on Twitch in the UK on Watch Dogs, does anyone know of anywhere breaching the release date on the high street at all, would love to get hold of a copy over the bank holiday weekend, especially as the weather looks like its going
to be pants.

My achievements won't unlock all of a sudden.

Has anyone had this resolved yet? Mine has started to do the same with watch dogs. Though I unlocked achievements on it last night

Maybe they are hacked copies.... buwahahahahaha... /rimshot

 

As an ambassador you should kniw that pkaying games before release can lead to a ban. Remember the thing calked ToU and CoC?

 

@Gateway, you are incorrect you cannot be banned for legitimately purchasing any game

 

Section F. Of the Code of Conduct states do not play a game until its authorized for play on the service.

Legitimate copy or not you can receive a ban for it. Feel free to ask in the ambassador forums if you'd like the same answer. Or tweet @XboxSupport, they will tell you the same.

 

CoC was changed a while back & you can get banned for playing a game early,even if it is a legit copy.

 

Blame the customer then instead of the supplier, hmmm that sounds fair , i think not

 

And clearly people are not being banned, i have viewed several streams tonight on twitch running, X1 and PS4 games, within the UK

 

Or you could just wait 3 whole days and this discussion would be a non issue ..

it would be nice to have the 3 day weekend to play Watch Dogs. and i don't think anyone was banned for getting Tomb Raider early.

 

The trouble with International Releases is that the US releases it's games on a Tuesday. The UK release their games on a Friday.

I once saw an absolutely brilliant article on how and why that happens but I have no way of linking you to that unless someone else remembers where it is.

So normally the US get their games 3 days before the Brits.

However when you get a big "International Release" most Publishers tend to have that international release coincide with the American Release date.

This causes a problem for Online Retailers in the UK who have to get the game to people on a Tuesday in a country where mail is not generally delivered on a Sunday.

So to honour their promise of "you get it on release date" they send them off Friday or sometimes earlier.

It's not such a big deal though. It will be Tuesday for you soon enough.

 

Everytime and I mean everytime a new game comes out and few manage to get early copies, here comes "your gonna get banned crew."

Give it a break and knock it off. No one is or has gotten banned for early copies. Seriously, give it a break.

 

I still say the gaming industry should wise up and change the way we get games.

Drop the Street Date for Retail releases, when a store gets it, let them sell it.

Keep the street date for Digital releases but also have it cheaper.

This way Retailers will still be making sales & those who want digital or don't mind waiting can save.

Publishers can make the retail releases with more physical content to make people still want them.
