Anyone got a Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 500X headset?

The issue with clicks/pops improved with a controller firmware update, so check to see that your controller(s) are all up to date. I still get the occasional drop-out/pop, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.

 

Have there been any fixes to this? Any updates from MS or TB of any sort? I spent good money on this headset to have a fun experience, sadly it's just been a pain. Thanks guys.

 

Is Microsoft kidding? This is STILL not fixed. It's not even just a headset issue, any device using the bitstream out function from the optical port has delay. So much for their all in one entertainment machine. It doesn't even function correctly. I am beyond
mad, this problem has been happening for OVER A YEAR.

Microsoft, screw backwards compatibility and all your other marketing nonsense, how about making a functioning console first and foremost? This isn't even fixed on the new Elite model of the console, it's honestly pathetic.

 

Is this still an issue with this headset? I just got these only played a few hours on it but have yet to notice any delay. Will run the test Sigma suggested and post if it is an issue.

 

I came to this thread as I just got a 2nd hand pair of these and am getting the audio delay as well. It's worth pointing out that I was already using the optical out from the Xbox to go to a decent 5.1 system and there is no delay at all on those speakers
using optical.

Now I've put the 500x transmitter in the between the Xbox and the speakers and there is now a delay on the headset AND the speakers.

 

Turtle beach has disgustingly poor with after sales support. The only options to contact them is via email not phone. With email they say expect up to 10 days and its only 9-5 they answer emails.

Does this headset work with my xbox 360 slim console? When xbox one came out, they said the turtle beach x42 is only compatible with xbox 360 and not xbox one but my x42 works with xbox one just not the chat. Sonce both x42 and 500x use optical out port,
game sound should work both on xbox 360 and xbox one.

Retailers in australia and new zealand have high customer service expectations. Maybe turtle beach should work on their customer service. Turtle beaches distributors are qvc for australia and fiveight for new zealand.

I contacted xbox support and xbox 360 does have dts 7.1 surround support they said yes woo. I'm ordering turtle beach 500x today!

 

CONFIRMED. It's Friday evening for NZ and Australia, I'm on Xbox 360, and the Turtle Beach 500x WORKS ON XBOX 360. Game sound wireless but for chat, you need a chat cable (I'm using the one which I have for my turtle beach x42). Sound and bass is deep. I
have yet to try it on Xbox One. Chat works on Xbox 360 too! I'm chatting with friends in a party on 360.

I got the headset new off mightyape which is an Australian/NZ online retailer. Ordered this morning and chose same day express courier and got it 1 hour ago when I got home.
