Anyone found a IR Blaster cable that works with Xbox One?

So awhile back I got rid of my Kinect and lost the ability to control my volume with my media remote and also lost the option to have my tv automatically turn on when the Xbox One is powered on. I figured I would get a IR Blaster and plug it up in
the back and control stuff that way. So I borrowed a friend's off his Comcast box just to be sure and test it out. It didn't work and I gave up hope. Fast forward to now and I have seen the option to do this in the Xbox One menu itself(it said "for tv functions
to work you will need a Kinect plugged in OR have a IR Blaster plugged in"). So I started to research it again and have found out their are people mentioning doing this. So now I figure A: I did it wrong, B: the one tried wasn't compatible or C: they added
this in a update. So my question is has anyone done this personally? What exact cord did you use? Or anyone know of any cords that will work? I would really appreciate it. Sorry for long read and thanks!

Help using an IR cable to connect to cable box

Did you setup you cable box in the OneGuide/tv settings section? Make sure the ir sensor is exactly on the ir receiver of you cable box, if RS off even a few mm it could stop it from working. You made sure your purchased a ir blaster wire and not a ir
receiver wire? If the the model of you cable box is in the Xbox one settings when you set it up then it should work, just make sure you are directly on the ir receiver of your box.

I use a cable in the livingroom because the Kinect blaster doesn't work for some reason so I have a 3 way Ir blaster wire that works grea but as I said you need to put it directly on your ir receiver for your cable box and if you want to control your tv
you need a cable with atleast 2 ir blasters and fix them to both your tv ir and cable box ir receiver.

 

Am I missing something?

The IR Blaster is for use with the remote for your cable service. A controller will not work for that.
