Anyone ever successfully obtained a refund for a digital purchase?

Although I realize the ToU states that there are no refunds on any purchases of digital games, I was wondering if anyone has ever successfully obtained one anyway? Specifically for a game they had been having problems with, or felt wasn't what was advertised.
Basically, are there any situations where the game buyer, as a consumer, has the right to demand a refund for something they are deeply dissatisfied with.

Xbox Digital Game Purchase Refund.

I've heard of people successfully getting a refund for a digital game purchase. How do you go about this? I've attempted twice now to return Assassin's Creed: Unity, which is hands down the worst game I've ever played on Xbox One and MS support won't play
ball.

Anyone have any tips, or know if I need to call a specific number? Coming up on 10 years of XBL, and this is the first inconvenience I've had.

It may have happened but that doesn't mean that you'll get one even if you have the EXACT same situation they had

I did!! I purchased NHL 15 digital download. I asked for a refund due to the missing modes and feeling the game was not even finished when it was released. Microsoft refunded my purchase. I was pleased. Bummed about the game though being what it is. I did
it through the chat support service.

Good stuff. Thanks. I'll try chat support and see if I get anywhere. Trying to get a refund on the season pass for Destiny after I found out what a piece of garbage it is. I don't even care if they want to just revoke the licence for the full game and
have me delete it. I'm done with it.

 

They switched my NHL15 back to a trial demo period. Then I deleted it,

Yes, many people get refunds.

 

Generally people will get refunds when a product isn't working as advertised, I'm not sure if they will give you a refund based on buyers regret, but might as well give it a go!

 

Yeah, they won't give you one for buyers remorse.

 

I bought halo master chief collection, that was broken on release, after a week I gave up trying to play it, they gave me a full refund and 3 months live as compensation.

 

I got a refund for Halo a week after release because it was broken.
