Anyone else's xbox still not downloading on standby

Yeah I had this question also. Xbox 360 used to continue to download when you shut it off then complete the shutdown. Since Xbox One goes into a connected standby vs shutdown, I would imagine it would still download but haven't been able to confirm yet.
Anyone know if the system still downloads while it is in standby?

pkvas - nope. If I understand it correctly, the Xbox One goes into standby when not in use. If it is in standby during the "Phone Home Time", it will come out of standby and phone home. If the system is completely shut down it will phone home when it's
brought back up. Anyone else can correct me if I'm wrong in my understanding.

It responded to "Xbox On" while downloading in standby.

It is what they mean as it'll still download games and title updates when it's in standby, aka "offline mode".

Same sort of thing for me. Forza 5 update today, turned on Xbox and was expecting Forza to be updated considering the update was out 6+ hours before and I had to wait for Forza to download the update after I had switched on the Xbox. Ive got the Xbox set
to "Instant On" and the "Auto download" set to on. Main system update from the other week was fine as that downloaded overnight and when I switched on the Xbox it was installing it straight away.

My question as well is if the Xbox is in standby mode should it still be connected to the router via wifi? My router shows a list of connected devices. Xbox in standby mode isnt shown on the list and so isnt connected via wifi, yet my PS4 in standby is shown
connected via wifi to the router. So should the Xbox be connected on wifi all the time when its in standby or just when its physically on? If its not connected via wifi when its in standby how does it get updates?
