Anyone else still use a launch day 360? One that uses a Xenon?

Ever since I found out that this Xbox 360 was a lot older than I thought, I got even more paranoid that it will bite the dust soon. I'm pretty sure it's an Xbox 360 Pro/Premium. I don't think it ever got sent back to Microsoft. Is there a way I can contact
Microsoft to see my console's history, in case there's the small chance the Xenon motherboard got replaced by an Opus before the 360 became a hand-me-down? I still find this hard to believe that this has lived for a decade without any problems. It's as if
I don't want to believe that it's a ticking time bomb. What exactly should I do with this? Am I supposed to send this to Microsoft?

    :)

    cant see my money!!

Does anyone else use your account, or uses the same console? If there is someone else that uses the console, he/she might have mistakenly used your account. Also, does anyone else use your account?

  3. Anyone use a headset anymore??

does anyone really use their mic anymore? I remember back in Halo2 days almost everyone used their mic because it was the new thing and cool back then. Now in almost any game you'll be lucky to have one person that actually uses their mic.

No you wouldnt send it to microsoft as they dont service the original (fat) xbox 360s anymore.you can determine which motherboard your xbox has by looking at the power connector on the back and comparing it to this chart.

Your 360 works? Good for you. Whatever motherboard it uses is irrelevant. Microsoft never actually fixed consoles, they just replaced them and then refurbished the broken ones, giving them a serial number.

I've already looked at that picture of the power connectors. That's how I found out I have a Xenon motherboard. Right now, it's sitting in my cold basement with Metro 2033. It works fine. My friend often mentioned how quiet it is compared to his. When I
ask people on what I should do with my 360 (since I'm pretty reluctant to play), they would either just chuckle and tell me to call Guinness World Records or just shrug and suggest I get rid of it. My Xbox 360 is 10 years old. Never had a red ring. I heard
this first batch was also prone to problems with the disc drive. Yet it's shocking to see that there has never been a problem, and it being alive is the way I want to leave it. If Microsoft won't help, all I can do is try to prevent the inevitable death. Some
people suggest I use a can of compressed air, but I'm afraid of using it because I think I might screw something up. Other than all that, is there anything else I can do other than leaving it in the cold basement and rarely playing it?

All you can do is take care of it. I had an original console without issue as well for about 8 years before I took advantage of a trade in deal at my local game retailer. They offered $100 off for any console. Too good of a deal to pass up in my opinion.

If you're worried about the console dying on you then perhaps you could look out for something like that.

I guess I'll just have to accept it and look for a new Xbox 360. But wait, if they stopped production of the 360s, wouldn't it be much harder to find a brand new one? Are used or refurbished ones really that bad? I still got the old 20gb hard drive, but
I've heard there are ways for transferring data. Eh, too many questions, but I suppose my main thread somewhat got an answer. Thanks anyway.

there's still quite a few new consoles available on the market. Just check out your local retailer. As the older FAT consoles are no longer in use I would recommend purchasing an official xbox transfer cable for the hard drive that would come with that
console as 3rd party cables are not covered under any warranty.

Alternately you could also get yourself a gold membership and simply move your game saves onto the cloud which can then be accessed anywhere for download to a newer console. From there you would simply need to redownload any digital games you purchased
    before.
