Anyone else run their Xbox 24hours?

I don't leave mine on all the time but I only use it for gaming, However, all the console really is is a specialized PC and that being said I leave my PCs on all the time without issue. The only time I turn it off is when I know that I will be gone for

I wouldn't imagine there are many moving parts getting wear when it's on for TV/Streaming, so I doubt it hurts much (as long as it has good ventilation). I split time between Xbox and PS4, and most of my movies are watched on a dedicated BR player. I don't
have any cable or basic TV programming (just Netflix).

The longest mine has been on is 4 days straight when first set up after Christmas 12/27/13; took awhile to download games and patches on my girlfriends 1.5Mbs D.S.L.. Thankfully she has since upgraded. Lol. Most of the time it's not on more than 5 hours
at a time. The second console is in Instant On and doesn't get played all that much. My girlfriends console is off for weeks at a time, then days in a row constantly on with Netflix streaming in the background.

Instant on for over 2 years now plus my sattlelite reciever is conntected through the HDMI in. So my Xbox One has been used alot. It still works great and it's still quiet.

Tbh, it's best either left on or off. A lot of wear and tear comes from turning devices on and off, and rapid heating or cooling of parts. I can't see any harm using it 24/7.

Technically mine's on 24/7 since I've always had it on instant on. But I do turn it off when I'm not using it.

Hello Lei Fang, It's very interesting that you have two televisions for different purposes. I find that a bit unusual, but interesting nonetheless, especially considering the TV viewing monitor is the smaller of the two.

^^ Lol, they probably wouldn't touch it as they know better plus they're really good with the PS3 and WiiU. It is a pain, but I've been doing it since day 1 with my 360 so I'm used to it, although once in a while I will get lazy and not play because I don't
feel like hooking it up.

I also put it away to keep it from getting dusty. My house gets dusty as heck everyday and we don't smoke in it and it's clean.

@ Bran. That must be a real pain in the rear doing that after you've finished playing, I'm sure they wouldn't go touching dad's toys if you told them to keep off.
