Anyone else run their Xbox 24hours?

Given the option of HDMI in and the fact that my console is in the main living quarters.. the Xbox is on most often all day. It works great and doesn't make any noise as far as I can tell, at least not yet.

Anyway, I suppose it's kind of like a cable box for me right now as it does not get turned off normally. I've had it running since mid October of 2015, but worry that maybe it's too much since I do game and stream from Netflix and Amazon regularly as well.
The only console I've had die on me is a first generation 360 with the three rings but then again I haven't run any of them all day every day.

When playing online, my games lag 90 % of the time. Has anyone else run those same tests on their Xbox console?

how do you not loose a humvee?

how do you score a perfect run with the Jet?

and did anyone else not get their Pre-order code?

 

Mine is on more often than not, i have a habit of falling asleep listening to the tv, so its usually only off when im at work, if im off though its usuallly on for days without being switched off

Nope I turn mine off when I am not using it. I don't really use it for watching television.

 

Funny R1CH5TER. I also have a habit of watching either netflix or youtube videos and falling asleep. These are really the only times the Xbox turns off. I wake up and the Xbox is off and the TV as well, it seems to have a timeout with the video signal and
thus the whole deal is shut down. lol.

 

24/7/365..... never off at all. Day or night.

Since my Xbox 360 / Xbox One has a TV dedicated just for gaming, the same TV isn't on for the entire day

When I watch TV, my gaming TV is off. When I'm gaming, the other TV is off

Although I will admit, sometimes I have both TVs on at the same time when I am playing some games that are really slow paced (Hannah Montana: The Movie game and Monster High: New Ghoul In School) or super " grindy " games (Diablo 3 vanilla and Destiny).

My gaming TV is 40" and the TV for the Cable box is 22" LOL

It can't be great for it. I'm not sure though. I don't watch TV and haven't in many years. I unplug mine after every use and put it in a drawer. I have kids that I don't want touching it.

 

Mine has been on since October 24/7. No problems with the Hardware but the Software that's a different story.

 

@ Bran. That must be a real pain in the rear doing that after you've finished playing, I'm sure they wouldn't go touching dad's toys if you told them to keep off.

 

^^ Lol, they probably wouldn't touch it as they know better plus they're really good with the PS3 and WiiU. It is a pain, but I've been doing it since day 1 with my 360 so I'm used to it, although once in a while I will get lazy and not play because I don't
feel like hooking it up.

I also put it away to keep it from getting dusty. My house gets dusty as heck everyday and we don't smoke in it and it's clean.

 

Yeah, I know all about a dusty house. I smoke but only outside and we are clean, still the dust comes. Think it's to do with having an open fire up until the other year, that thing was nice but caused a lot of dust, so even though the chimney is capped,
it still causes extra dust.

The xbox and TV etc are easy enough to keep clean, having to clean out a dusty pc becomes annoying though.

 

Heh... All these people who leave theirs on constantly and I can't even remember the last time I turned mine on.
