    I have the phantom message too... been there for probably a week or so. Well, now that I know I'm [arguably] not insane, I can take comfort in the fact that this stupid phantom message will make me that way.

    This happened to me once. Turned out it was like the 7th message down I never fully opened. Took me like 3 minutes to figure it out.

    Anyone else have this issue?

    Seems that it was likely due to getting a message from someone in the update preview program. I checked (more like triple checked) my messages again last night just to verify that my message box was empty, which it was. I then checked for a system update
    before I shut down the console. It said update available so I did the update and immediately after the update installed, I checked my messages again. There was the phantom message, which was nothing but a message from someone I know is in the preview program...
    oddly enough, it was just a message... no text. Deleted it and I now have a 0 again by my messages. Yay.

    Oh good installing update now. Can't wait to get rid of the phantom message.

    I have the message issue, on the dashboard it says theres a message, when I go to the friends panel it says there is no message, on smart glass it says there are no messages, none of my messages are howing as unread on the console, no idea how long I have
    had it but its been a while, I am used to it now.

    I have had that. I also get a problem with installation stopped for some reason. On what I do not know. The other issue is that Titanfall keeps coming up as ready to play. I had been playing that and exited and it told me that as well. Only game I have
    had that particular issue with though.

    Yep you were right Harra. Don't know what it was and it contained a video but it wasn't playable. I'll have to give GG a message to ask what it was.

    I had a feeling someone's phantom message would be from GG Anyone else have this issue? :) man it feels weird when someone calls me Harra on here, as it is my nickname in real life and has been for 20+years.

    Interesting the message isnt really a bother for me. I thought it might of been a 360 message but I have no messages. I did delete a few messages using smart glass (not connected to the XboxOne) maybe it has some connection to smart glass. Some sort of bug?

    I had this issue and it was fixed when I updated my controller and Xbox.
