Anyone else have problems with console not always recognizing Blu Ray movies?

So pkvas, you're saying that 95% of the time you get an error when you put the disc in, and you have to eject it and try again? Has it always been like that, or did it get worse over time?

It's always been like that and can usually tell by the sound if it's going to work if it makes the 'wrong' sound I eject and put it back in

Doesn't really bother me I can tell right away by sound it makes when it grabs the disc takes two seconds to eject and put back in

I would send it for repair or an advanced exchange op, i have had an issue with 3 consoles not reading discs since launch, luckily the one i have now has been fine

Hey guys and gals,

Might be worth trying to clear your Blu Ray cache, this can fix this issue most of the time

1.Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

2.Select Settings.

3.Select All Settings.

4.Select Disc & Blu-ray.

5.Go down to Blu Ray settings

6. Then on the persistent storage option, clear it

Is also worth clearing it three or four times, and for some reason it doesn't always work the first few times

Dunno, is just a trick I've learnt, and know it works for a few people, so worht a shot

This is so weird, I barely use my Xbox One to play games and I don't have any issues with using Blu Rays / DVDs.

Overall, my Xbox One is almost never gets used at all. I spend almost all of my gaming on my Xbox 360 LOL

Mine has always had problems with blu rays, so to remedy this, I just hold the disc for a half second while the drive sucks it in, really make it work for it.

This solves the problem for me 9 out of 10 times.
