I have been a loyal customer for not only the Microsoft brand but specifically XBOX. I have literally spent thousands of dollars on TV , Movie rentals and games. I never really spent my points but recently decided to use the to buy Walmart gift cards. Suddenly
my account is suspended and when I inquired on what was going on i was told I was in some violation of the policy. I asked what I did and if it was maybe a VPN or some other thing I was unaware of. after a few days I get the most heartless inconsiderate email
essentially telling my my account is gone and too bad. All my friends went back to playstation after the First Xbox but I remained XBOX loyal till this very day. I am a good customer. I have never before had any warnings or any issues with my account and this
is how they do me. I am so incredibly pissed. I think, I had no violations, they just did not want to redeem my points and this is an excuse I cannot check. They would not share what the supposed violations were. How could there be any that I would willingly
commit? I have literally spend so much money that they should send me a new console just to keep my hard earned money flowing into their hands. Shortsighted greedy dishonest and corrupt if you ask me. I DID NOTHING WRONG. If id did unwittingly then without
them telling me specifically how can I avoid the same thing again? They will allow me to start a new rewards account without letting me know what they say I did. Why would I even start a new account? So they can just claim I violated some other mysterious
policy and deleted my new account? I have no choice but to leave and stop purchasing their products. Companies used to care about their customers and brand loyalty was rewarded. Not this company. What really pissed me off is the zero tolerance policy to good
customers that any company would cherish. Not only that but what do they think I will tell people if they ask me if they should bye an xbox or a playstation? They aren't just losing me they are losing possible new customers who I will influence negatively.
When I tell them how they did me over an insignificant about of money compared to what I have spent with this company. I'm not disappointed, I am Bull&^%#!!!!!!! Microsofts rewards policy is a lie and a scam! How would you feel?

Is my information compromised? is this supposed violation something I might want to know to protect my card info or personal information? Do they think i acted in a dishonest manner? I purchased multiple items of the same type. is that a violation? My attitude
was if I could only get one they why did it let me exchange for it multiple times. I did not think I was doing anything wrong and have no idea if I even did. You can enter contest multiple times so why would a walmart gift card me any different? So upset!
    Again How would you feel?

    :)

How do I delete my Xbox Account

    Hi Jeonne,

    Just sharing some additional info.

Keep in mind that once your account is permanently deleted, your owned games (in addition to all your save data/progress) would also be deleted with no way to recover it. There's unfortunately no possible way to transfer it to your new account, and it'll also delete anything else associated to it (not just your Xbox profile) such as Outlook, Microsoft rewards points, etc.

Microsoft accounts are permanently deleted after 2 years of inactivity. There are some exceptions to this rule (active subscriptions for example can prevent closure), though.

Refer to the official support article:

    To unlock your account:

My advice would be to save any important data and spend/redeem anything before closing your account. So if there's anything in your OneDrive that you want to keep, be sure to transfer it to your new OneDrive (or any other Cloud service you have) or to a flash drive. If you have any account balance (gift card), you may want to gift a game to your new account (you'd need to create the new one first as you'd need the email address). If you have any rewards points, spend/redeem them on a gift card or something.

Also note that Microsoft doesn't recycle email addresses - so even once your account is deleted, the email address can't be used again.

    Hope this helps.

How do I delete a Microsoft account?

Hi there! I'm more than happy to help you!

There are 2 ways to delete a Microsoft account:

    1. Microsoft account will automatically be deleted after more than 2 years of inactivity.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...y-policy-7c0a9fa7-0982-b7c6-fd72-df852b63699f

    2. You can request to manually close your Microsoft account by following the interactive tool using the link below:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-account-c1b2d13f-4de6-6e1b-4a31-d9d668849979

Note: Closing a Microsoft account means you won’t be able to use it to sign in to the Microsoft products and services you’ve been using. It also deletes all the services associated with it, including your:

Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, and MSN email accounts

    OneDrive files

    Xbox Live data and Gamertag

    Skype ID and contacts

Office digital perpetual licenses, like Office 2019 Home and Student

    NuGet.org account

Account balance, unused Reward points, and Microsoft Certification, including passed exams and associated transcripts.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best Regards,
    Darhyl
