Anyone else have Gamefly?

I just got it a few days ago and I have to say, it's pretty neat! I like how the queue works, automatically sending the number 1 game on your lists asap. So I chose Tomb Raider to be my first game and it shipped yesterday. How long does it generally take
to receive the game? Does it depend based on the availability of the game? Low medium high etc. I'm hoping it's sometime tomorrow so I can play it when I get back from work.

Anyone else have this issue?

When I play the new Mortal combat any character i choose just starts jumping in place when I didnt hit any buttons. it seems to happen at the worst times in the game. it also happens at the player select screen it will keep moving to the characters on its
on. I thought maybe it was the controller but I tried another one and the same thing. im on chap 16 of story mode fighting Shao Kahn and i can barely do any moves because Raiden starts jumping in place right away.

 

Anyone else have these issues?

I've had none of these issues- Everythings been perfect on my end.

 

WHen i had it its based on availability on the game first in queue, also by how far you are to a distribution center took 3 days from when i sent a game back when they got it and another three days to send another i live in NC and the two distributions i
had was Florida and i think micghigan

 

Damn that's far bro lol. I live in NJ. I wonder how far my distribution centers are or am I stuck with Michigan and Florida too? Oh nooooooo.

 

Gamefly is not worth it. I tried it but they never have the titles that they claim to have for rental. I was losing more money on then membership fees than I was getting out of the membership itself. If you rent for the previous gen systems it is great
but for new stuff and new games not so much.

 

I've had Gamefly for a while, and the shipping times are crazy long. Takes about a week to send and receive a game. You hardly ever get the #1 game in your queue.

 

Damn so far I'm not liking what I'm hearing. Guess TR might not be here today but next week lol. Oh well. I barely have any time to play anyway. I can wait a bit longer. Also, does anyone know where the Gamefly distribution centers are? I'm just curious.

 

I hated gamefly when I used. I would send a game back on a Saturday, get confirmation that the USPS contacted gamefly that they had the game, and then I would get another game by Friday or Saturday. And all of the games I had picked were available now and
old games.

I live in Maryland and there is a distribution center in Pennsylvania, and it still took forever. I would assume that is where your games would come from too Defy.

 

I've had GF since the final days of the Original Xbox. Turn around on games used to be a lot faster. Couple of days, and that was with only two distribution centers. Now they have one just north of where I live and it takes about a week, maybe more for
them to receive a game and send out a new one.

I love the service, especially getting new games for a lot cheaper, but the speed is atrocious.

 

I've been a long-time member of GF as well (OG Xbox also). I'm also a fan of the service. I know GameFly has battled with the post office, trying to get priority sorting (like what Netflix gets) so games will get to and from distribution centers faster,
but it seems a bit hit and miss. I don't want to say it isn't GameFly's fault, but I would still put more blame on the USPS. Sometimes when I return a game, all will go according to plan and GameFly will ship my next game as soon as the post office scans the
returned game. This is what GameFly dubs it's "Fast Return". When it works, it's great and I'll get my next game within a couple of days. However, many times I will have to wait for GameFly to actually receive the returned game and that makes getting my next
one take longer.

Again, I don't think the fault can be solely put on GameFly. I'd recommend the service still though, as there are quite a few games that I have an interest in playing, but I don't want to purchase.

 

There's a center in FL?

 

These mail order rental places are great for acheivement hunters as you can put a bunch of games in queue that you want to run through. However, they're not usually that great for people who want to play the latest/most popular games as they never have enough
copies.

I can't speak for gamefly in particular as they don't offer service to Canadians though.

 

I had them for years. Dropped them about a year ago. It got to the point it could take months to get a newer game. If that ever changes I may go back.

 

I have been with gamefly for a long time. It take 3 to 4 days to get a game. You have to put the games on your list as soon as they come up. I get all the new game that come out.
