Anyone else have a hard time getting used to buying digital for AAA games?

Mmmm never used them , they good for getting games out on time?

 

I feel like there's some fairly slanderous things being said about Digital here, disappointed with the lot of you! Haha!

I'm with a few of you guys and just go the cheapest which is usually physical, though sometimes it can be the mood of the day as well. I used to by a lot more crap on the 360 though so did a little more trading, don't trade very much anymore.

What gets me sometimes is when I buy a physical copy and it just allows me to download everything from the marketplace, like, what's even on the disc? haha.

 

@Genchy, they tend to be a bit like Amazon marketplace, so essentially it's a shop front for loads of different retailers. I've ordered through Simply Games and The Game Collection on there, both were excellent prices and delivered early, not sure what the
other retailers are like but those two are good as gold.

 

I have no issue buying certain digital titles, I have a mixture of both.

 

Lei Fang, my Internet Speeds can vary but on average are around-

Download Speed - 54

Upload Speed - 20

Packet Loss - 0

Latency - 35

I do feel a little bad for anyone who has a very slow Internet Connection but keep in mind this is 2015. People need to pushing against heir ISP for better Internet requirements. The above speeds are also obtained via a 5 year old $30 Router. My Xbox One and
Xbox 360 are both Wired Connections but there are at least 3 other Devices almost always on in my household.

I still don't see what the issue is with even having a slow Internet Connection for Digital though. Just start a DL when you go to bed. If it's a day later play something else.

 

^^ Or with digi pre ordering, just do it in advance and you can still play release day

 

I'm all physical. unless the digital version is about $20 cheaper (which it never is btw). The only benefit I see to digital is not having to get off the couch to put the disk in the tray. Surprisingly my pc is 100% digital but that's because there is competition
price wise between steam and other sites.

With physical I can always recoup some money by selling it or trading it in. Yes...I'm a cheap skate. I go wherever saves me the most money. LOL

I wish that I was able to at least get 30 Mbps download speeds with my heavy Wi-Fi usage going on, but it tops out at 19 or 20 Mbps

I am really glad to see that you and many other people are enjoying the awesomeness of having Download Speeds that are higher than 30 Mbps with heavy internet usage going on at the same time

This is the reason that I prefer my games to be Disc Versions, because I honestly would be more inclined towards Digital Downloads if I was actually able to use an Ethernet Cable with my current internet set-up

Before a game is released, when will " Digital Pre-Ordering " become available for download?

For example purposes only, lets say that Dead Space 4 is going to come out January 1rst 2016 and it is November 9th 2015 now.

Depends when the. game. goes gold (finish product).....

At. worst,2. weeks before. release. but. usually. one. month before release

 

All depends on when the game goes gold (as per Tzars post above) - worst case scenario is usually 2 weeks before and best has been 2 months i think
